The Herald is running “Hotest Ever Year” headlines from chief NZ alarmist, Salinger.

Well really. Since it is common ground that the planet has been slowly warming since the 1850s mini ice-age shouldn’t every year potentially be the hotest ever? Apparently not and we should fall over in shock and horror. God, these journalists are idiots.

The story says Salinger is guessing ! What if a sceptic had guessed the world had cooled in 2018 would there be a stenographer at the Herald to type it up.

He has forgotten Europe’s heatwave in the (90s? early 00s?) when a lot of people died.

Does the Herald have stenographers ?

Opps Griff you cant point out Alan is repeating nonsense.
Ya now the snowflakes get all wobbly because you point out how idiotic or illogical their nonsense is.

We have warmed well above the little ice ages minor cooling. We should be in along term cooling trend due to the cycles that produce ice ages instead we are warming at a rate outside of anything in the proxy records for the present interglacial.

Alarmist means actual climate scientist not some god addled whack. Why would the overwhelming majority of actual climate scientists be alarmed?

Natural variability still exist we still have El Niño and La Niña years volcanoes and random fluctuation despite the long term warming trend.

The idiot is you Alan for your rather idiotic rant.

We have a PM who capitulates and with gay abandon and gives out ridiculous pay settlements to the union backed workers at the taxpayers dime so why not.
Anyone noticed the very muted response to the total watering down of her employment changes, a couple of billion now structurally added to government expenditure was the easier path but when revenue dries up its going to be a bit ugly when the cutbacks kick in.

What cutbacks? If revenue does dry up watch the taxes go up.

People are starving and fleeing by the million from socialist Venezuela, but no, it’s Brazil that is the problem. Brazil has been liberated from socialism.

No wonder they are so upset. Bolsonaro seems a very reasonable fellow.

What an irony. This snowflake pictured was educated by our system that’s heavily influenced by the late Brazilian educator, Paulo Freire.

Seems like the new Brazilian Prez knows bs when he sees it.

Occupying an Embassy? No originality – who’s going to pay these dinglebunnies any attention?

Back in my day you called the press and gave a press conference in bed, or from inside a bag.

  6. Attacking hypocrisy – this is very funny.

    Robert Guyton:

Why do we allow George to comment here?
    His views seem poisonous.

    te reo putake:

It’s a conspiracy, Robert. We master moderators have a solemn pact where we let PG comment here just to make his moaning about moderation at TS seem hypocritical. The rest of the commenters are subject to random, anarchic moderation decisions based on a throw of the I ching.
