This from the open source “Environmental Research Letters.”

It says avoiding airline travel is one of the four most important things you can do to limit global warming (the others are having one less child, going car-free and eating a plant-based diet).
And wouldn’t it be nice if the Green Party would lead the way and do this .
Note, being driven because you don’t/can’t drive definitely doesn’t count!

I eat only vegetables. 1 out of 4.

    I don’t own a car. 2 out of 4. Oh damn, I do go in other people’s when the offer’s made. 1 1/2 out of 4.

My being vegetarian is NOT for any reason except that I went off the idea of eating animals, I don’t believe that I am making any contribution to climate change.

Microsoft has finally deigned to let me open a document that I wanted to finish, after I’d tried all afternoon. They really are incompetent.

@Kitty catkin. I think you will find all 131,529 Microsoft employees world wide focused solely on stopping you from opening your document just to annoy you because you are so dangerous to the inter web.

I find the only way to beat the bstards is to click on the “open” tag. Can’t outsmart me because I went to Matapuna primary in Taumarunui up until Standard One.

        Har har har.

I remember the own goal of the century when they locked people out of their email accounts with a message that began ‘Call us overprotective, but….’ They’d send codes to phones or other email addresses which were always one digit short so were unusable. They’d want to know the last 5 or more email addresses that you’d sent emails to. They’d send people round in circles, so that they’d end up where they began.

They’d send instructions to….the email account that people couldn’t open. This was like keeping the spare emergency key inside the house.

Goodness knows how many people did as my old man did and went to Gmail and others.

I heard the best ever answer to the spammers who say that Microsoft have found (X) wrong with your computer.

        ‘Which one?’

Was it banned or was it ‘error’ ? I have had trouble with posting before now; it just sits there. But sometimes when I look again, there it is.
