FIRST TIME COMMENTERS: Due to abuse by a few, first comments under any ID will park in moderation until released (as soon as possible but it can sometimes take a while).
Sometimes comments will go into moderation or spam automatically due to mistyped ID, too many links (>4), or trigger text or other at risk criteria. If they pass muster they will be released as soon as possible (it can sometimes take hours).

/ 15th March 2019Robert (Beta) O Rourke has chucked his name in the progressive ring for the Dems for president and I suggest anyone wanting a laugh at a candidate check out the rehearsed and ludicrous hand and arm movements.
Trump has noticed and is savage as usual:
“He has a lot of hand movement. Is he crazy or is that just the way he acts?” Trump said while taking questions from the press.
BETO O’ROURKE MAKES 2020 WHITE HOUSE BID OFFICIAL WITH WEE-HOURS ANNOUNCEMENT
“I’ve never seen hand movement, I watched him a little while this morning, doing, I assume some kind of a news conference. I’ve actually never seen anything quite like it. Study it. I’m sure you’ll agree.”
He also has this odd bouncing thing when talking to a crowd somewhat like Eminem doing Lose Yourself. It looks like the nomination is going to be another straight white male of privilege with Sanders the current front runner, Biden may throw his hat in but is way too old and yesterdays man and will quickly fail, O Rourke may go quite well and a ticket with him and Kamala Harris would be interesting, Warren is finished and is just woeful. There are few stragglers who are woeful with one woman launching her campaign in a blizzard while talking about global warming which was hilarious.
My pick would be Kamala Harris, not that she is very good but compared to the rest she is a rock star and appears sane.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th March 2019TRUMP is sneering at hand movements ?
His tiny fingers are never still.
Finbaar Rustle
/ 15th March 2019Kamala Harris will be the first woman Prezident of the USA.
You heard it here first.
David
/ 15th March 2019Polling at this stage probably ly has her as vice at best. She is stuck on 10% and worse on 2nd preferences..its Bidens at this stage with a dozen candidates he is on 30% consistently
David
/ 15th March 2019Sorry I meant Sanders not Biden
lurcher1948
/ 15th March 2019Get it right, how hard is it, near enough isn’t good enough, didn’t your boss tell you that?
Blazer
/ 15th March 2019Sanders should take…Kentucky.
Finbaar Rustle
/ 15th March 20192024 ha been long touted as the First woman presidential election with hundreds of men already promoting their woman candidate (the rewards will be huge for the promoter).
But knowing the Reps could also have a woman candidate in 2024 should Harris play the first woman President card now?
Timing is crucial.
Obama was brownish but raised by his white mother and white grand parents
and became the first “Black” president.
He also stood at the end of the
Reps 8 years cycle so had it easy.
Harris also has a multi cultural back ground but like Obama is very white looking and white acting perfect to satisfy swing voters.
But Americans rarely vote one term Presidents so by then 78 year old Biden could be the sacrificial lamb in 2020 but introducing Harris for the first woman President election in 2024.
8 years of Trump should see swinging voters go for the Dem candidate who ever he/she is.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th March 2019If they had 8 years of Trump, they’d vote Lurch’s RED in for President and my Fido as VP to have someone with some sense in charge.

Dr CULLEN: And to my old school, Christ’s College. I am proud of the fact that my secondary education was not paid for by the taxpayers of New Zealand but by the farmers of Canterbury and Hawke’s Bay. I ripped them off for 5 years then, and I shall get stuck into them again in the next few years, so the honourable member should not bring that subject up too often.

“Deputy Prime Minister Michael Cullen has apologised for a wisecrack he made about ripping off farmers on his parliamentary debut 26 years ago.
Dr Cullen was asked about the comment in his maiden speech in 1982 and whether he “resented wealth” on TV One’s Agenda yesterday.
As the new MP for St Kilda, Dr Cullen said: “I’m proud of the fact that my secondary education was not paid for by the taxpayers of New Zealand but by the farmers of Canterbury and Hawkes Bay [he was given a scholarship to Christ’s College]. I ripped them off for five years then, and I shall get stuck into them again in the next few years.”
Dr Cullen told Agenda: “Oh, don’t go back to that, that was one of the most embarrassing … I want to apologise for that because what happened there was that somebody broke a longstanding convention, interjected on me one minute into my maiden speech, which was pretty unfair.
“I was wound up like a wire. This is my maiden speech in Parliament, you could have twanged me and I’d have played a whole concerto.”

/ 15th March 2019Out of politics! yeah Right!! He is acting as Labours taxpayer funded mouth piece for CGT because Robbo and co esp. David Parker have had 10 years, 9 in opposition, to figure out a CGT and are now pretending they ‘no comprehend’ when subjected to questioning…

/ 15th March 2019Incredible – a shooting at a mosque in Canterbury. Ongoing, but several injured, no confirmed deaths from what I’ve read:
* A witness inside the Christchurch mosque said a man came in with an automatic rifle and shot people
* Witnesses said they heard “a bunch of shots” on Deans Ave. The road was cordoned off about 2.20pm
* A roadblock has been set up at the Aldwins Rd and Linwood Ave intersection
* About 20 armed police are clearing buildings in Linwood, across from Eastgate Mall
* Police are warning people to stay indoors and to report any suspicious behaviour to 111.
* A number of schools in the area are in lockdown

/ 15th March 2019Shooter described as white, blond, and quite short
Ahmad Al-Mahmoud, 37, described the shooter as white skinned, blond, quite short and wearing a helmet and a bulletproof vest.
He and others broke a window in a door to escape from the mosque. Prayers started at 1.30pm. The gunman came in about 10 minutes later, when everyone was on their knees praying, he said.
The gunman let off dozens, if not hundreds of rounds, he said
ZB getting Chch callers talking about it.
It’s making the breaking news red tickertape line on Aljazeera tv
