You may remember that a man as “spoken to” after he arrived to pick up a child with a firearm in his vehicle in Christchurch after the terrorist massacre.
What was not mentioned was that it was a local gang member.
It will be interesting to see if he is actually charged, being a gang member automatically disqualifies you from being a legal firearm holder.
Also worth remembering that though gang members are only 1% of the population they create 15% of firearm offences.

I had forgotten, and didn’t know that about the disqualification.

Why do they block out car number plates in situations like this? The video and photo from it seem to show a car pure and simple going about driving along the road. Why not show the number?

To make a big drama ? It’s like altering a voice, which just makes the thing look ridiculous.

I saw something appallingly sexist today. I don’t watch Modern Family, of course, but did see the very end. A young boy was throwing a basketball at a man (his father) over and over and hitting him on the head, shoulders and other places…including what seemed to be the balls. The man collapsed in agony. We then saw the two watching themselves on video and congratulating themselves, as dad said that his father was always away.

Imagine a woman being hit over and over by a basketball being thrown hard at her head and then being hit in the gut or genitals so hard that she collapsed in agony. Nobody would dare to show this, still less present it as funny and/or child/parent bonding !!!

Dancing With the Stars is coming back.

Thank goodness that I have so many books and that I don’t rely on television for my entertainment.
