The genius that is Twyford strikes again. The fool has had the taxpayer buy spec houses in Christchurch that were for sale off the plans since before this fool was made a minister and stupidly stuck a Kiwibuild sticker on them.
Outrageously he wont release the purchase price unlike every other purchaser of a house in NZ. I can tell you the purchase price of every single house bought in the country but not Twyfords ! A minister in the most open and transparent government never.
There is no shortage of properties in Christchurch, the townhouses for sale in Te Rito St are around 100k overpriced which is why Mike Greer hasnt been able to sell them for years.
We are denied a serviceable mental health facility after losing so much in the quake and the millions and half could have been better used on one of the things that apparently Ardern told us was a crisis.

OOOHHH ! I’m a taxpayer…which one of the houses is mine ? When can I move in ?

      What do you mean, I can’t ?

Can you find the price on QV or somewhere like that ?

How about asking an MP ?

Just thinking of the angst surrounding Golriz Ghahraman’s safety. I remember Paula Bennett getting the most vile death threats and hate mail. You can still experience the residue of that hate with some comments about her posted on this blog.

Then there was liquid thrown in the eyes of Nick Smith…and the the proposed statue of him crapping into a large class.

There was a dildo thrown at Steven Joyce ….Brash and Key assaulted at Waitangi.

Where were these liberal hand wringers when Righties were receiving their lumps?

Righties just get on with it. No snowflake treatment, or soft landings for them.

You still don’t know the meaning of that old cliche; it means someone being rightly punished and accepting this. Why this idiotic expression means that is a mystery, but, thank goodness, it’s not usually heard outside the US.

I can’t see that these people deserved it in any way.

Are these the same type of people who gave Labour the ”big NO” in the Aussie elections,Lurchy? Take your time.

I can assure you, Lurch, that David Seymour is nothing like the halfwitted bigots who support Tommy R. He believes in freedom of speech, not whatever these morons do.

His views are not remotely like the ones you quote. It is a meaningless statement that he would like them. He’s not a thick thug like the TR brigade and would not appeal to them at all (too intelligent and open-minded)

Interesting to compare the sentiments of Western leaders ( apart from Trumpy who gets it) to those of China’s president.

    Quote:

“Today, on the new Long March, we must overcome various major risks and challenges from home and abroad and win new victories for socialism with Chinese characteristics,”

Meanwhile our leaders sell-out Western values in an endless cycle of appeasement.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/05/difficult-situations-ahead-for-china-xi-jinping.html

Talking of China..I wonder how those two Chinese Communist Party delegates who voted against Xi Jinping holding onto his premiership for life are fairing? My guess is the water is cold, the kids aren’t in top schools anymore and overseas travel is a no-no.

As to those re education camps, a survivor has told what it was like. It consisted of 14 hour days, with only 2 -2 minute toilet breaks. The whole 14 hours consisted of political studies.
Violations resulted in electric shocks with cattle prods.

Why do you listen? Killer for punishment? Surely red radio would be more aligned to your views? All you comment about is how truly awful Magic Radio Talk Back is.

“stale white rightwingers by the age of their voices” have a vote so their view point counts.

Wonder where the safe spacse for “stale white rightwingers are”?

Best find a safe place then where the perpetually offended go, Try red radio!

No doubt a lot of “WOKE” wankers think of you in the same terms?

You must be a sucker for punishment, to keep listening if it offends you so. Have you ever rung and had a conversation with Peter Williams to voice your displeasure with his “WOKE” wanker attitude?

Or are a perpetual complainer that has no action plan to remedy your feeling of offensiveness? Or are you best to gripe anonymously?

    Laughs a minute with Corky:

Bought a refill pouch of ancient sea salt, mined from an ancient seabed in Utah, that’s apparently millions and millions of years old. Anyway, the pouch had a useby date of 2021. 😃

Went passed the Winz office today on my motorbike. The whole street adjacent the office stank of herb. Many cars had what looked like p-pipes being used. There were many happy people smiling. I don’t know whether that’s because they had received a food and booze grant, or whether it was just the drugs. I later spied one of the cars in town. Two feral whites exited the vehicle..with the woman walking straight into a parking meter. She fell backwards and was spread eagle on the pavement, Her companion couldn’t stop laughing; neither could
    I. For the moment, let’s forget she was driving..😂✔

      Laugh AT Corky, you mean,

Your ancient sea-salt probably began life in a bag of generic salt from Pak & Save.

Your story is too circumstantial to have any credibility. How could you smell that unless you were going at walking pace and had the visor up ? WINZ doesn’t give out the number of food grants* that you suggest, and if there were as many people using drugs as you say, the police would have been there. Your description of the whites as feral is meaningless and shows that you don’t know what feral means…and as you don’t know these people, you can’t say what they are like.

You do realise that someone who walks towards a parking meter and falls backwards onto the pavement must be walking on the pavement in fhe first place ? If she stepped out of the car and fell backwards, she’d fall back onto the car .

      * and they have a list of things that they can be used for; no alcohol or tobacco or anything that’s not essential

I don’t know what’s happened to Chuck; he used to be a nice, interesting man (not much sense of humour, but one can’t have everything) and nothing like what he is now. I haven’t seen him for a long time.

There would be no ‘us’ if that happened.

Every man, woman and child in NZ except the Tamaki clan would have fled and begged for political asylum elsewhere.

Great news for landlords, bad news for the taxpayers and a terrible message about personal responsibility and consequences for actions.
The state will get to keep all the terrible tenants by not insisting they behave and look after the taxpayers generous offerings.

I told you about the man I know who was told by his tenant that it was HER house (although she hadn’t paid the rent for a long time) and that he had no right to be in her house, as well as accusing him of sexual harassment because he took a step towards her ( some hope, he has a nice husband)

Legally she is right unless he had been through the tenancy tribunal and won. Rent paid or not as a landlord you have no right without notice to enter the property…big no no.
Not sure about the sexual harassment but always use a property manager would be my advice.

Good luck proving sexual harassment when the person has taken one step towards you and has been out of the closet for years (not to mention has a husband)

I always wondered how a Chinese students with limited English language skills could come to New Zealand, become fluent in English, and carry on to University.

The answer is many don’t. They use ghost writers and rely on corrupt teachers passing them for the exams they fail.

Its a global problem, you can literally select the grade you want but the foreign student market is so lucrative no one wants to expose it. Employers know some people with great degrees are deadset useless so dont employ them making it a very expensive exercise..bit racist but you make your bed.

Not that simple. I tutored an Asian student at an Oz uni a while back who couldn’t speak English. He’d been chosen by his Govt to do a Masters in Education. He’d bring me photocopied articles he could barely understand as well as his written work to correct. Correcting his written English became largely rewriting his essays, unintentionally, an easy line to cross with friends. The fault often lies with our universities who accept students regardless of English proficiency because they’re chosen and sent by other Govts, whose money they want and whom nobody wishes to offend.
