Customs vaguely responds to search/detention over manuscript

Following up on  yesterday’s post NZ Customs accused of abusing powers ahead of Blomfield book launch (it has been confirmed that it was Matt Blomfield and his family who wee detained).

Customs responded via twitter:

I can understand they can’t be specific, but they could give a lot more of a general idea than that. For example, if there had been a ‘tipoff’.

RNZ:

The man at the centre of new book ‘Whale Oil’ was stopped, detained and searched at Auckland Airport by customs.

Arrogant tossers. As I said, their excessive powers need proper, comprehensive and timely oversight.

I hope Customs are held to account for this – Matt had his kids with him

Much like the attack at his house from the patched Killer Bee Ned Paraha – I hope the NZ Police do a proper job and find out who paid for / made this happen

So many unanswered questions from the NZ Police

Here is a question … your media etc

How come the NZ Herald never reported or investigated the sentence for Ned Paraha ? He’s out now yet no follow up

Strange as he holds all the information as to who paid him, why he did it , what it was about – who does 5 years like he did?
