This post is open to anyone to comment on any topic that isn’t spam, illegal or offensive. All Your NZ posts are open but this one is for you to raise topics that interest you, or you think may interest others..

If providing opinions on or summaries of other information also provide a link to that information. Bloggers are welcome to summarise and link to their posts. Comments worth more exposure may be repeated as posts. Comments from other forums can be repeated here, cut and paste is fine.

Your NZ is a mostly political and social issues blog but not limited to that, and views from anywhere on the political spectrum are welcome. Some ground rules:

  • If possible support arguments, news, points or opinions with links to sources and facts.
  • Please don’t post anything illegal, potentially defamatory or abusive.

FIRST TIME COMMENTERS: Due to abuse by a few, first comments under any ID will park in moderation until released (as soon as possible but it can sometimes take a while).

Sometimes comments will go into moderation or spam automatically due to mistyped ID, too many links (>4), or trigger text or other at risk criteria. If they pass muster they will be released as soon as possible (it can sometimes take hours).

Wow! TV3 had a piece on gangs of black youths raiding shops in Sydney with impunity. They even showed the Aussie TV station trying to get a comment from a police officer regarding the racial make up of these groups. Even the problem with black gangs in Melbourne was mentioned. Of course the police officer would not comment on that. I don’t blame him. He would be crucified for suggesting they have ”issues’ with black youths.

    Top marks TV3,

‘He would be crucified for suggesting they have ”issues’ with black youths.’

And rightly so. Why anyone in 2019 would want to conflate dark skin with youth crime is a mystery to me, unless that person is racist. Dark-skinned youths in Oz hail from a variety of countries and cultures, and cannot seriously be conflated into one ‘black’ cohort. Nor can gangs of South Sudanese be labelled ‘African’.

The issues with South Sudanese refugee youth first appeared in Omaha is the US, and despite a wider S.Sudanese diaspora across the US has largely been confined to Omaha. Melbourne has similar, much less severe issues, but not the rest of Oz. The South Sudanese gangs themselves are split into ethnic Dinka and Nuer reflecting traditional rivalries. The Omaha experience has produced valuable research for others accepting South Sudanese immigration. Among pathways to better assimilation, the agricultural and pastoral cultures from which they come suits first generation rural settlement and farming rather than urban concentration. The media in Australia have never examined the Omaha experience. And the racists, well they’re just racists with nothing to offer.

We all have televisions and see the news.

Black and African are not races or nationalities.

Melbourne is not a suburb of Sydney.

Put the dental cement on your gums..plonk in your choppers. Hitch your suspenders to your strides and open the front door. What you are looking at is the ‘real world.’ Trying living in it for a change…and watch out for black youths in hoodies ( suspenders are coning back into fashion) 😂✔

The front door thing is probably what you need to do Corky .
You dont get real world experience by sitting in your darkened room listening to right wing gibbering on the radio and twitching the curtains back to see the world go by. The weekly trip to the supermarket for your strawberry buns and perving at the other customers trolley content does not count either.

Seems like you are as witless as Kitty, and need to use my imagery to get a half decent post. Thanks to trolls like you, I don’t post here as much as I used to. I tested the waters again today to see what would happen. Sure enough, you all crawled out from under the bridge.

Suspenders are what women hold stockings up with in NZ; I see no reason to suppose that Lurch wears stockings and suspenders. I hope not.

Griff, anyone who knows more than Corky and shows that he’s talking nonsense is a troll in his eyes. He hates to be proved wrong and lashes out when it happens. Poor little petal. The imagery of hanging around a supermarket perving at the other customers comes from him; he has claimed to do it many times. Why he doesn’t like this being quoted is a mystery.

I don’t know what Corky thinks dental cement is, but it’s actually what is used to glue back fillings and crowns. If he uses it instead of Polident he will be in for a surprise when he tries to take his teeth out.

.”would you have posted if they had been bored children of uber rich whites having a rampage…NAH i don’t think so.”

Of course not. It would be all over the news for days. The Leftwing media would put the knife in time and again, hence my surprise at 3 News running with this story.

I was always poor at maths, but as I was reading at three and have learned nine languages I am not too worried; I couldn’t do those things with a calculator.
