On Monday the Conservative Party leadership campaign officially began.

  2. Well, well, well, this will get President Trump’s supporters riled up.

The Department of Justice, led by Attorney General William Barr, has interviewed Christopher Steele, author of the “infamous” Steele Report on Trump, for 16 hours.

The investigators appear to have found Steele’s testimony “credible and even surprising” and gave them the sense that Steele “offered new and important information”.

Oh, no, the Dossier was a credible piece of work? After all of the scorn that the right has poured on it?

AG Barr might have gotten more than he was looking for in his investigation into the FBI’s efforts to surveil Carter Page based in part on information from Steele.

Peek not through a keyhole lest ye be vexed.

Dreaming .. everything that needed to be known about the Steele Dossier is known. No charges on Russian collusion.
      What were you hoping for?

A miracle? I see the Dems are in meltdown after the latest Mueller pronouncements. Come 2020, the Dems can look forward to being beached like political whale.

Just listened to a criminal Aussie deportee on talkback. He said he has an extensive Aussie criminal record. But that record doesn’t follow him back to New Zealand. He now has a clean slate and is working in security…he may apply for a gun license.

And why not… this government believes in diversity.

There is nowhere else to post this (Pete whilst I understand your change of format I do miss the open forum and/or work view posts To post on UK politics).

Anyway, as you will know Boris won the leadership election as expected, today he was officially sworn in as PM by the Queen and immediately set about doing his cabinet reshuffle.

24 July 2019 is becoming known as the summer’s day massacre as Boris culls the cabinet.

So far he has sacked 18 from cabinet.

The big appointments so far are:

    Chancellor – Sajid Javid
    Home Secretary – Priti Patel

Expected: Dominic Raab to be named Foreign Secretary

Good to hear Boris say New Zealand was shafted when Britain went with the EU. The sooner he resolves Brexit; the sooner Britain can start rebuilding. So far there has been little of the doom anti Brexit commentators have predicted. Boris calls them Doomsters. Nice to have some colour in British politics for a change.

So much for Trump/Russia, we’re now getting into the juicier details of ObamaGate ..The Obamagate timeline 2016 election year is a record of known facts about President Obama’s misuse of foreign intelligence gathering for domestic political spying,[1] media manipulation, wiretaps, intimidation of journalists and critics, use of government intelligence agencies to influence domestic elections,[2] efforts to thwart the election of President Donald Trump, subversion of the new administration’s personnel and agenda,[3] and to delegitimize and undermine his presidency.[4]

They say Clinton’s running again in 2020, if she couldn’t win last time after cheating Bernie Sanders, outspending Trump 2 to 1 and an Obama administration attempted coup against her opponent, you would have to wonder what she’s going to run on this time. Buckle up …
