Photo Day

Duperez has suggested “And maybe a challenge each day (or when all else fails) is to go outside and take a photo to share.”

Good idea, but may we can vary the focus for the day, perhaps have a music day, a book day, an online interest day etc. This photo post day could extend across days.

Any photo subject is welcome, nature, what your neighbourhood is like under shutdown, projects or whatever.

Duperez: Why not start with another little b who didn’t stay in their own patch?!”

Here’s a cheat of my street (it’s from Street View September 2019) but this is how my street looked yesterday and will look today and looks most days except when there’s a local school fair and it’s chocker with parked cars, or occasional when someone wanders or walks their dog up and back.

I might post pic from today when it gets light.

If you don’t know how to post a pic you can email it to me – YourNZContact@gmail.com -and I can do it for you. It may take a wee while, I will be busy outside at times today.

I wish that I could have photographed the stunning starscape last night. I don’t know when I last saw such a display. The whole sky was covered. If that only happened once a year, there’d be parties and starwatching events.

I can’t be bothered signing up to these meme websites G. It’s a nuisance that the onedrive links don’t get followed thru by wordpress to the pic.

That’s the beauty of the imgflip site, Al. You don’t have to sign up to it. I just saved your images from onedrive (they take such a long time to open on my little FiP), cropped & edited the girls one, went to the site url, & uploaded the saved pics (& have now deleted the saved images permanently from my iPad). It’s a quick n easy process. Anyone can do it.

Nope. Just go straight to this Meme Generator url & upload.

You can hit “Generate Meme” to create an image with a .jpg url without having to enter any text at all.

If you want to add text, click the settings icon right of top and bottom text fields to edit text or it’ll default to all large caps. Shrinking the text fields will shrink the text, easy.

Worth doing is clicking on “more options” & selecting the “use original resolution. The bigger the image you upload, the smaller the size of the imgflip watermark & so the less visible in the pic it looks.

One thing you need to do is make sure you’ve opened the actual image page and/or copied the url that actually ends in “.jpg” before pasting the url here. Have a quick play sometime, you’ll get it sussed immediately, my bet.

What kind of dog is Gemma ? She’s stunning. Coco’s sweet, but Gemma’s a real beauty.

Al’s told us in the past that Gemma’s a kelpie/collie cross, Kitty.

We’ve always said she is a kelpie collie cross but her omnivorous appetite suggest some labrador. She loves chasing a ball and runs back with it and throws it at you. She has quite a sense of humour too. Does a good upside down bicycle act. Always had a glossy coat. Her sister had longer collie-like hair.

It’s a beautiful hi-res pic of Gemma when you zoom & expand her face. Good cellcam, that one, Al.

Yes, takes v goof photos. Took it to bits to replace the charging port recently and found it has very smart moving camera mounts that compensate for any shaking while photographing. They are on both front and back cameras but apparently only activated on the main back one.

Probably made that photo because I was jumping around on a rocky ledge trying to get Gemma’s face with a decent background and animals move fast and unhelpfully.

Loves cuddles and chasing balls. Inclined to go and sit in muddy water when she gets hot. Refuses to have her nails trimmed and eats anything we eat except salad greens. Hypnotises anyone eating anything and forces them to give her something. In our house a spotlessly clean plate is “Gemma clean”.
