A lovely underlay of contemporary Spanish guitar, played by Paco de Lucia, really made this song, imho

In an election year the Greens are near invisible.
With Covid19 the main concern it is still surprising that the usual high profile Green M.P’s do not appear to be even relevant in daily political discourse.

I don’t know about this concept of having co-leaders.
James Shaw is articulate and smart and has broad appeal .
Having to share leadership with a Cunt is a strategic mistake imo.
When two equal forces push against each other stagnation is the outcome.

Chloe Swarbrick has been their star performer from my observations.
She appeals to the young voters and has shown she has the ability to mix it with political opponents.

The Greens squeaked in last time, whereas this election looks more absolute red or blue.
The perception that the Greens priorities are more socially transformative than environmentally driven is becoming prevelant.

Be interesting to know the Greens views on delaying the election too.

As an aside who has the authority to delay it?

I’ll leave it to our resident expert on everything who claims no expertise on anything to answer that last question for the chumps.

What makes you think the current female co-leader is a C**t? And why is that a problem?

That is how she describes herself and what her partner calls her.
I have stated why it is a problem in my original post.

Well, your post was a little vague on exactly what you meant.

When two equal forces push against each other stagnation is the outcome.

I mean, I think you raise a good point & agree that Swarbrick shpuld be next out of the starting blocks … & obviously it’s a great opportunity for you to use that word which seems right up your alley (so to speak) but what is it exactly about Davidson’s focus or preferre policies or utterances exactly that cause your irritation?

Yes, B. She will have had plenty of cause & time to regret that bizarre blooper of epic proportions. So, that’s it? Just that one mistake, which she can move on & learn from?

Or are there other issues with her that make you think she should be deposed?

Or are you basically against the idea of M&F co-leaders?

Yes I am…merit is all that is required.
A leader is one person in my book…shared leadership is really a lame, paradoxical ,unnecessary construct.

I think I and Janet Roborgh were the first NZ M&F political party co-leaders back in the early 80’s. Though then it was M,M&F with Jon Mayson too.

I agree with you there, Blazer. After thinking about it. I’ve had reservations about the concept; can see both for & against viewpoints, but I see no more merit in having two opposite gendered as same gendered co-leaders. I think parties work best & probably more efficiently when ultimately there is one head honchess or honcho who makes the final decision. Too much risk otherwise of trying to be all things to all men, women, & LGBTQWIXYZ.

There were no internal problems with it at the time, B. However without MMP there weren’t real prospects of winning seats. Jon Mayson went on to become a highly successful CEO of Ports of Tauranga.

It could be a problem for a few. A very small few I’d think.

If we lined up at a shopping centre today with random testing for Covid-19 testing and surveying 1000 people gave them a ‘wait but there’s more!’ bonus questions, how would people fare?

1 Who are the leaders of the Green Party?
2 What does one of them get called by their partner?

          • They’d probably know the first one but not the second.

It’s pointless to try to ‘reclaim’ cunt as a word for a woman as opposed to that part of the anatomy; if it was ever not used as a term of contempt, I am not aware of it. It’s reclaiming something that almost certainly never existed in the first place, and that word goes back many centuries.

Knowing things and being an expert are two different things.
People with a mediocre life , poor recall, low computer computer literacy were once the type to prop up the bar at the many hotels that once populated the inner city, where they would repeat their half a dozen memes. Dear Readers, thats all they had apart from a large pile of records at home from a bygone era

Poor buggers. Ya gotta feel sorry for them.

I gather that records has become a in ‘thing’ now for some of the kidz.

What’s “low computer computer literacy”, out of mild interest?

The election date is the PMs to choose within the legal limit.
Currently is late September but PM could move it back to Oct or Nov, anything after that would require a super majority in parliament

You’re so busy crowing to the mirror & a non-existent fan club about a minor win over a forced error last week you haven’t noticed that the game’s moved on.

Three tuis in one tree this morning wouldn’t pose. These others were more obliging:

The message about social distancing didn’t get to them:

Very twitchy bits about them too:
