/ 13th June 2020FOR SALE, a slightly used statue of Captain John Hamilton (passed its use by date) could be turned into a bird bath.expressions of interest sort by Hamilton City Council
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020If Maori don’t like other people’s heroes why don’t they put up some of their own?
Or is that too constructive for the loony Left?
artcroft
/ 13th June 2020None of the news articles/segments weren’t able to describe what atrocities Hamilton had committed, and I’d never heard of any. I still haven’t.
artcroft

/ 13th June 2020If Maori
loony Left?
Or just Alan showing us his issues yet again.
The Maori party was part of national governments for how long Alan?
Your political compass is broken.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020You are confused, Griff. Not all Maori are loony Left just as not all pakeha are woke idiots.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020However, this lot certainly are loony Left:

/ 13th June 2020Captain killed at Gate Pa,in a vain attempt to confiscate Maori land, not a hero and never went anywhere near to the Tron, due to the fact he was killed in the rout at Gate Pa
As an aside would you admire a statue of a colonialist coming to steal your land and kill and rape..pray tell us.
Duker
/ 13th June 2020That would be Governor Grey for the invasion, who also invented the name of Aotearoa …oops
The country was called ‘Nieuw Zeeland’ on maps 400 yrs before Aotearoa was invented by the Europeans
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020I didn’t put the statue up so don’t presume to know their reasons, Lurch, but I presume at the time they were good ones. You presume otherwise with as little knowledge I suspect.
Do Maori have no Gate Pa heroes? Where are their statues? Isn’t it time to do positive constructive things rather than negative, destructive?

/ 13th June 2020I’m not sure where the loon sits in the political world
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020Pretty sure the loony Left is so wet it barely floats, Patz.
Corky
/ 13th June 2020I saw two representatives from the HCC on the news last night. All was explained just by looking at them. The dude looked like he was hypnotised and the woman was sooo woke.
Interesting to hear the comments from what I consider dead-beat Maori. One chap said a big weight had been removed from his shoulders. Well, bro, what I would say is as long as the Maori baby murder rate remains disgustingly high, the weight is still on the shoulders of all who claim Maori blood. That statue can’t kill babies. It’s removal cannot help Maori.
https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/fearing-controversial-colonial-statue-might-attacked-activists-hamilton-council-uproots
Pink David
/ 13th June 2020Why are they not removing Hamilton completely? Seems racists not to.
Kitty Catkin
/ 13th June 2020As you claim to be half Maori, Corks, do you feel that the baby murder rate is on your shoulders ?
Corky
/ 13th June 2020Not claim. I am. The claiming is done by PP and her supporters. No, in reality I don’t feel it’s on my shoulders. But it’s like a bad smell that follows you around. You just know what many Europeans are thinking when another Maori baby is murdered. You just know if someone calls you out over this issue, you have no defence. That sucks.
Kitty Catkin
/ 13th June 2020But according to you, it’s on the shoulders of all who claim Maori blood. You can’t have it both ways.
Do you also know PP as Gezza and Alan do ?
Corky
/ 13th June 2020”But according to you, it’s on the shoulders of all who claim Maori blood. You can’t have it both ways.”
I guess for me, a bad smell is as good as a weight on my shoulders. Either way it’s stain for all who have decent Maori relatives… people of honour and a good heart.
”Do you also know PP as Gezza and Alan do.”
No, I don’t. I trust the word of no one on this..or any other blog. I have been told the feeling is mutual.
NOEL
/ 13th June 2020Don’t be difficult Alan. The existing ones come from either the taxpayer or ratepayers with decades is associated maintenance costs.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020The Left seem to have no difficulty with the costs of destruction. How about spending a bit on construction?
NOEL
/ 13th June 2020So taxpayer statues of Maori now?
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020Why not if deserving? Shane has plenty of money.
Kitty Catkin
/ 13th June 2020There are many images of Maori in Hamilton, something that the thug, Timi Maipi, conveniently ignores. There is a mural on the wall behind the statue.
Kitty Catkin
/ 13th June 2020Both of those things are true. He’s an overbearing bully and there are a number of images.

/ 13th June 2020Wheres the data for 60 months after the pandemic ?
Oh thats right it doesnt exist but lets compare anyway. Clearly a lot of the GDP drop is ‘temporary’ like the US found for the unemployment numbers
Alan Wilkinson
/ 13th June 2020It’s obvious the only comparable event in modern times will be the Great Depression. US employment is based on fast fire, fast hire rules. Ours and most European are the opposite so the devastation will be slower and longer.
Pink David
/ 13th June 2020“It’s obvious the only comparable event in modern times will be the Great Depression. ”
There is no comparison to what has happened in the UK. The Great Depression was mostly a US experience because of the policies they followed their.
The UK never fell as far as the last couple of months and recovered quite quickly.
This 25% drop in GDP has no precedent in history.
Pink David
/ 13th June 2020“Clearly a lot of the GDP drop is ‘temporary’ like the US found for the unemployment numbers”
Can you point to a recession in history were the GP drop was not ‘temporary’?
Duker
/ 13th June 2020Over a few months. Tell me what recessions they compare with involved government quarantine of people and businesses , UK was over 2 months wasn’t it.
Have you checked how swedens economy is doing?

/ 13th June 2020I don’t get it. What’s this serous stuff Biden doesn’t know? That Juneteenth is about emancipation? That he doesn’t understand what emancipation is?
That he doesn’t understand why Trump would go to Tulsa for his big event?
“The Tulsa race massacre (also called the Tulsa race riot, the Greenwood Massacre, or the Black Wall Street Massacre) of 1921 took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of white residents attacked black residents and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma.”

Pink David
/ 13th June 2020“That he doesn’t understand why Trump would go to Tulsa for his big event?”
You actually think this don’t you? Your really think Trump is going to Tulsa to celebrate these race riots. That’s fully retarded, I hope you realise that.
duperez
/ 13th June 2020Tell us why Trump is going to Tulsa for his big event? I thought it was because with lockdown environments some cities were not able to host. I realised some cities did not want his rallies because of history.
Oklahoma is a Republican stronghold and he is well regarded there.
No doubt some advisors would have been aware of perceptions around Juneteenth and they would have been discussed, but the decision was made.
The latest I see is the rally has been put forward a day to do with ‘respect.’

You put up nonsense about Biden, a different perspective is put up and we have references to ‘fully retarded.’ You have me as thinking Trump’s going to Tulsa to celebrate race riots? Park that fully retarded vehicle in the right parking space.
Kitty Catkin

Farmers all ways want to delay any new water quality standards…nothing to do with covid , as farming isn’t really affected it so much , especially sheep cattle dairing.
Canterbury RC was sacked because they couldn’t get their water quality plans done….likely the same issues as Otago. No reason why they shouldn’t be sacked if they delay things.
