    Michelle Boag and social distancing.

Under quarantine ,in her apartment with only Michelle for company, she has time to reflect on the consequences of her life as a devoted National Party agent.

As her colleagues all around ,succumb to the fallout of her blue kryptonite, she may find that while she was climbing to the top, everyone else has…fallen off.

National is brutal and pragmatic and she will be dispensed with .

Even her new ‘friends’ McCarten and Tamihere will maintain a minimum of 2km distance.
They know just how destructive blue rinse radiation is.

Add Walker, and seemingly Woodhouse and Muller to a list that includes English ,John Slater, and a coterie of lesser knowns, all collateral damage in a career of determined, vexatious, venality.

Her book should be a best seller.

Does Muller know of any other scandals happening that NZ doesn’t know about, asking for a rather gleeful Labour Party.

This time next year, Muller will be showing the new National leader around their soon to be new office.

Covid will turn out to be the biggest politician killer in history. National are lucky, they have disintegrated after a short illness. Labour aren’t so lucky – they are terminal, but they are yet to receive that prognosis.

A good laugh today is the story about the Hamilton absconder in the ODT and Herald. A woman, thought to be the guy’s daughter, said she warned him not to do it. That suggests that some time prior they discussed doing what eventuated.

She is quoted as saying the excursion ‘wasn’t intentional.’ So totally accidentally, without forethought and consideration his legs took him to where he accidentally breached whatever marked the ‘don’t go past here’ line and randomly carried him to a liquor store.🙃

    • He must have just happened to have fence tie cutters with him

The alleged escaper – who arrived from Sydney on July 1 – is believed to have cut through fence ties on a 1.8-metre fence to “break out of the facility”, according to a statement from Air Commodore Darryn Webb, Head of Managed Isolation and Quarantine.

Health Minister Chris Hipkins understood he left through a fire exit and cut through a fence.

The illicit bottle shop trip prompted questions about whether isolation alcohol allowances were enough.

Those in the facilities can’t get alcohol delivered, Hipkins said in a Friday media conference.

“[Guests] shouldn’t be having extra alcohol delivered in addition to what they can obtain through the hotel.”

People need to stick to moderate consumption of alcohol, Hipkins said, and hotels have to follow responsible host policies.

Hotel supplied alcohol is often very expensive.

        Some blatant racism on show.

Indian man who absconds is returned to hotel and no details published.

White fella does the same and picture and name in paper (rightly so) and off to jail.

Cannot mutter that other lives also matter without some discrimination being pointed.

Welcome to the new world order.

I cannot. Legal/judicial decisions are made up and down the country every day in all sorts of situations. Obviously pertinent circumstances are taken into account.

I just take your judgement of racism in this case to be a knee-jerk reaction based on the most basic of knowledge.

That’s how you see it so, fair enough. Racism can be seen to be a big deal when the it’s the white fulla ho seems to be getting harsher treatment.

It’s also how I see things…based on historical precedents across a number of cases. It seems the only folk not buying into this bs are American cops.

I see another person has just escaped isolation. Let’s see if their face make the news… or not?

            • duperez

               /  11th July 2020

Are those the historical precedents where the ‘ethnic minority’ were treated ‘differently’?

               /  11th July 2020

Yes, the minority students received free cell phones and and other support. As for Whitey…he wasn’t invited to the party.

Then we have Maori student doctors accepted into training with lower educational achievements.

What about a Maori liaison officer for Maori in hospital? Yep, my whanau had one of those. It was like having a genie on call. As for the elderly European lady next door? Er, what about her? We made sure to look after her as she had no family. Fugging great!

            • The Hamilton one also did some serious damage to a 52″ television.

As most of us would be none the wiser for seeing their faces, I see little point in showing them.

Many students of all colours have been given cellphones as part of their course; I was astonished to be sent one. They had to be sent back at the end.

I thought it was a man who had traveled from India.

    • It was. At one time the isolation rules allowed for people to go for walks as long as they stayed at a ‘social distance’ from others, and he does seem to have done this.

This was quite different to those who cut fences, scale fences and damage televisions.

Yes, hotel liquor and snacks are expensive…so don’t have them ! Go without for 14 days or pay the blimmin hotel price..

The criminal issues , her lawyers say shes been arrested for, date back to the 1990s.

“Prosecutors from the Southern District of New York charged her with four counts in connection with the sexual abuse of minors and two counts of perjury for lying under oath. Between 1994 and 1997, the years of her “intimate relationship with Epstein,” the indictment charged, she “assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls.” One of the three unnamed victims was “as young as 14 years old when they were groomed and abused by Maxwell and Epstein,

Andrew has an alibi ( no doubt from his security detail) from the night , around 2001, he was said to have sex with a young woman ‘at a night club’ or house after the club.. A photo circulating shows him with a small group of people ,including the woman, at a private house on a different date.
Theres was supposed to sex at 2 other locations , New York and Epsteins private Island ( which was removed from court records)

Roberts Giuffre said: “You are left with a foggy memory sometimes, you really are. I might be wrong on dates absolutely and I might be wrong on places even, sometimes … But one thing that I can tell you is you never forget the face of someone who has heaved over you.”

      really .
Other photos show them with Trump, theres probably hundreds of different people over the decades

No, the RIGHT want someone who is RIGHT. Most Righties have accdepted the fact Jacinda and her band of merry socialists will win the election. They are thinking ahead to a time when NZers won’t be able to watch Jacinda on TV without smashing the screen. That’s when we’ll need ACT to keep those limp wristed National drips in line so we win in 2023.

You need to steady on, Lurchy. Remember, you were one of those laughing at the expected demise of ACT. Well, they are back, son…BIGTIME! And no amount of Lefty trolls trying to spin otherwise can do a thing about it.

      ps- Lol.

            • Perhaps he should take lessons from the PM on how to borrow many tens of billions for future generations to pay back, increase unemployment and make many more people live in poverty. KiwiBuild was hardly the success of the century and by all accounts more children live in poverty than did before.

            • Also the art of using an Air Force plane as a private taxi at a cost of $80,000 in fuel alone, and promising herself a paycut of 20% as a gesture of solidarity with those who took a paycut of 100%. . Has that happened yet, or is it too soon ? It’s only been a few months.

Bridges spent over 100k on Govt limousines swanning around the Sth IS.

              Key govt borrowed 80 billion!

Key said he didn’t want to make Kiwias tenants in their own country but did everything in his power to make sure they are.

              National=hopeless.
ACT=plaything of a handful of selfish, greedy parasites….enriched by buying govt assets on the…cheap.

I would put the link about Key using a helicopter to go to a private do but you’ve probably read that and when it happened voiced your disgust. And the one when he took a photographer to South Africa for the Mandela funeral. The costs of that poncing around far exceeded your $80,000 job. He needed a photographer just in case the thousands of other photographers from all over the world missed him having a cup of tea and chat with someone important. I asked Parliamentary Services about it at the time.
