/ 12th July 2020Isnt this an old sexist meme, that women who do wrong are classed as “witches”
because its in a carton doesnt make it OK, its continuing the practice of politics that women are treated more harshly and much ‘easier’ to put labels on them that stick. Its variations of the B word ( or the L word) at their core. Mothers and homemakers- the good labels- are expected to stay at home

/ 12th July 2020It looks very sexist to me. You seem to have a particular intolerance of female politicians from parties you are opposed to. You keep targeting them in particular. Seems very much like political sexism.
Blazer
/ 12th July 2020I only critique when warranted.
What other female politician from a party I oppose’ have I targeted.
I often targeted Key,English amongst others …so I believe I’m very…balanced.

Key was blaming Clark government for things as late as 2016… so shall he be judged up till 8 years later.
Well still be hearing about Trumps ‘history’ well up to the end of the decade ( or more !), Do you think Trump will shut up after his looming defeat?

/ 12th July 2020I think the problem is National produces hard women. The Left are used to their woman being screechy and subservient. Helen Clark being the exception. Many a Tory secretly admired aunty.

/ 12th July 2020Which is worse – maing a hundred thousand jobless or sending a government spreadsheet to the media? Inquiring minds want to know.
Kitty Catkin
/ 12th July 2020Silly question, Alan, you must know that sending a spreadsheet is worse than making a mere 100,000 people unemployed.
Duker
/ 12th July 2020100,000 jobless was supported by the National party and Act and even Mikey Hosking….at the time , by stirring speeches in parliament.
Who knows what they think now as they wriggle [unfair] to shed their ‘old skins’
Some polls say 80% public support too
As for the spreadsheets, its was venal to do so and dirty politics to hide the partys connections to how they knew …what ever happened to doing it all up front
It wasnt even a real ‘leak’ it was a high level political operater absusing her position on a charity…double dirty politics
Kitty Catkin
/ 13th July 2020You must know that ACT and National were supporting a four week lockdown, not one that kept being extended with the rules being changed all the time and not one that was likely to cause deaths and wreck the economy.

Nice strawman! You should start an Etsy shop and sell them online.
Duker
/ 12th July 2020So another skin Trump wriggles out of , and its strawman stuff?
Pink David
/ 12th July 2020Yes. Covid is a bad flu, very few think it doesn’t actually exist.
The ‘hoax’ is the response to it. ‘We’ are behaving as though it is a once in a once in a hundred years plague, which it is not and never has been.
Plenty of hoaxes on the journey of course. From Kawasaki disease to overflowing hospitals, to the refrigerated containers for morgue overflow.
Here’s a hoax from Friday;
“Covid 19 coronavirus: ‘Unknown pneumonia’ deadlier than coronavirus sweeping Kazakhstan, Chinese embassy warns”

Pink David
/ 12th July 2020How many days before that story is revealed as a hoax as well?
Young people dying of Covid is very unusual. 30 yo’s account for <0.1% of deaths. The story is entirely one person's claim. Nothing else supports the story.
You had a doctor claiming he was triaging 'young' people last week because he did not have enough ICU beds in San Antonio, despite there being more than a thousand spare.
How about Dr. Joseph Fair? NBC followed his case extensively as a warning about how serious Covid was. Small problem being, he never had Covid!
He tested negative no less than 5 times.
Pink David
/ 12th July 2020While we are on the topic of Covid hoaxes, remember the The Lancet publishing a study on hydroxychloroquine that was a total fabrication?

/ 12th July 2020Took him 137,000 dead Americans and 3 months of taking the piss out of Joe Biden for wearing a mask before Trump caved. Meanwhile loyal trumpagandists are floundering around looking for another straw man
Corky
/ 12th July 2020I think [deleted incorrect name] still has some mileage left in him. 137,000 dead Americans. Not even a drop in the ocean. The reckoning will come when we see how America comes out of Covid( if ever) compared to the economic state NZ is in next year.
Kitty Catkin
/ 12th July 2020It’s a drop in the ocean for the 137,000.
I suppose it’s inevitable that the unoriginal would call Joe Biden ‘Sleepy Joe’.
Pink David
/ 12th July 2020“Took him 137,000 dead Americans and 3 months of taking the piss out of Joe Biden for wearing a mask before Trump caved. ”
Let’s be clear here. 3 months ago every single public health organisation clearly stated masks were of no use. None. Everyone single one said this, and it reflects all the research that has ever been conducted.
The UK will be making mask compulsory next week. Not last week. Not 3 months ago.
Next week, after it is all over in the UK.
Masks have nothing to do with Covid. The change to masks is entirely political.
Put a rag over your face, be safe.

/ 12th July 2020More on the Stone sentence commutation and some previous parralels.
“Just days before the 1992 election, Lawrence E. Walsh, the independent counsel investigating the Iran-contra affair, filed a new indictment against former Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger revealing notes contradicting President George Bush’s account of his involvement. Mr. Bush considered that a dirty trick by Mr. Walsh to influence the election and indeed he was defeated days later.
Mr. Bush responded the next month to what he considered an illegitimate prosecution by pardoning Mr. Weinberger and five others, prompting Mr. Walsh to complain that “the Iran-contra cover-up, which has continued for more than six years, has now been completed.” NY Times
Clinton pardoned Susan H. McDougal, a former business partner from Arkansas who spent 21 months behind bars for refusing to cooperate with the independent counsel Ken Starr’s investigation of the Whitewater land venture.”
That was on his last in office , and she had served all the jail time.
Stone was very very lucky the Don didnt wait until he had served time. Shows that Trump wasnt the only President to have been investigated and have some people went to jail
