/ 15th July 2020I am excited today, up early with the birds. Jobs to do, gym to attend and money to be made…even the dog was up early all wagging tale and joi de vie. What a time to be alive.
lurcher1948
/ 15th July 2020David,so you are happy with the young dynamic National leadership team,3 times lucky they might get it right this time
Alan Wilkinson
/ 15th July 2020At least we don’t have to watch Muller competing with Jacinda for wetness. No wonder he dissolved.
PartisanZ
/ 15th July 2020lurcher1948 – There is no question they’ll get it Right!
I predict Alt-Far-Right. Where else have they got to go? (What? Turn Left?)
What have they got to lose?
Corky
/ 15th July 2020Dave, it’s a great world to be RIGHT.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th July 2020Joie de vivre, David….mine will be less than joyeux when he realises that yes, he IS going out into the rain to do what dogs do outside and I’ll be watching to make sure that he doesn’t just stand on the step and run back in.

/ 15th July 2020Will Judith bring Cameron Slater back into her circle, she will need a lot of dirty tricks to turn the tide, and Mr Slater is the go to person she might need??
Pete George
/ 15th July 2020I’d be very surprised if she went anywhere near Slater. That would be disastrous.
The big risk for Collins is if Slater hints at getting inside information from ‘the tipline is hot’ sort of thing (which was often bullshit, a way of trying to sound connected and also a way at making dirty assertions). Collins won’t get want to get dragged down, but that may not stop Slater smearing her by implied association.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 15th July 2020It won’t stop the Left and their media smearing her by implied association – their very own Dirty Tricks.
Pete George
/ 15th July 2020Collins has just said on RNZ “We don’t want that culture any more. People learn from mistakes. I think it is pretty clear that the culture then wasn’t good, but I’ve moved on”.
Blazer
/ 15th July 2020NZF will be on the outer now.
Winston was always calling Gerry…[deleted, don’t try to get around making derogatory comments about appearances and physical attributes]
Collins may be eschewing ‘dirty politics’ today, but if she proves true to her public perception of being another Margaret Thatcher ,she may find that will not get much traction either.
Imo the only worthwhile thing she has done in politics is stand up to the loathsome Karam/Bain industry.
Pete George
/ 15th July 2020Winston has long gotten away with a lot of derogatory insults and dirty attacks that other MPs would be piled on by media for. But he is struggling with voters now he’s clashing with Ardern’s brand of ‘nice’ politics.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th July 2020Gerry Brownlee made Winston’s insulting remarks about his shape fall flat with a quick and witty riposte. Even Winston had to laugh.
Corky
/ 15th July 2020Jacinda and her lot are ready for batlle. I don’t fancy their chances.

duperez
/ 15th July 2020A bit of a dilemma designing Gerry’s hoardings. He can’t go for ‘Sleeves up ready to fix Christchurch’ because he’s already fixed it. Hasn’t he? Or ‘Jerry hasn’t been able to fix Christchurch because he’s been in Opposition and he couldn’t do it from there, bur needs to be in government.’ 🙂

/ 15th July 2020Could go for something simpler: “Gerry vs Kelvin who?”
Want to compare track records?
PartisanZ
/ 15th July 2020A serious analysis of track records, within and without the Schemedia, might reveal Kelvin has quite a significant and important “track record”? I believe it would.
Especially if measured in Five Wellbeings terms?
The Fifth Wellbeing is, of course, Spiritual.

/ 15th July 2020…and now Judith!
From before the days of “Haka on the Pew” there was something which was really bugging me in my spirit. Not even confessing to that vain imagination brought relief – I wanted to be prime minister instead of Jacinda! It has been a terrible ride…and now – Judith!
The morning after, I’m healed!
Thank you Lord, it’s lifted
Thank you thank you, do a little jig
Finally, a leader cares, properly, cares a fig
Fog lifted!
Haze departing
Clearing air, peaceful lasting
Tough job for a Judith
acknowledge well
Those who criticise, prove as hypocrite
A jerryful gleeful Judith!
pray for her, a bit
a little is enough, one leader
Not the cult artist
emotionful jacinder
Just leading, nearly pure
That’s enough for people sure.

/ 15th July 2020Another traveller tests positive on day 12 of quarantine. The testing method has to be seriously inadequate when it takes so long to detect an infection. Long overdue to put focus on this.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 15th July 2020I have wondered whether some of these delayed infections are the result of travellers infecting themselves from their own luggage. There doesn’t seem to have been any thought given to this.

/ 15th July 2020The kind of challenges Labour have proved themselves more than capable of meeting Alan …
It beats releasing Covid-19 into the population for the sake of a dead international globalized Travel & Sightseeing Addiction Industry, aka neo-colonial ‘Tourism’ … aka “Sell your Culture to the Lowest Bidder” … aka Liquor Trek … aka Noravirus Cruise … aka …
Alan Wilkinson
/ 15th July 2020I disagree, PZ. Labour’s solution is simply to close down rather than research and innovate.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th July 2020I read that the PM is threatening us with a possible lockdown if Covid gets out there. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Emotive language was used (no surprise) but nothing was said about the sloppy quarantine security at the sites (no surprise)
PZ’s comment is nonsense. No one IS advocating that.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 15th July 2020… except for the UK and much of the EU. Ban tourism and consign populations to poverty, early deaths and the undisturbed enjoyment of their indigenous and very authentic cultures.
Kitty Catkin
/ 15th July 2020The drivel about the Noravirus Cruise and Liquor Trek made little sense !
