I have just finished reading all the nearby rightwing blogs and have discovered they all scretch Prime Minister Ardern is a full blown communist, hell hit me with a feather I always thought her as a caring PM with empathy, feelings and a conscience with hugs.. if that’s communism, what has Ms Collins got to offer and what is the pain shes going to bring to New Zealand called…capitalism without hugs

Calling her a Communist is the most disparaging, emotive term they can come up with.

The irony is the number of present and former National M.P’s receiving remuneration from…Communist China!

Every idiot pig headed conservative has thought Labour PM’s going back to MJ Savage were Commies, so Ardern is I good company.

Similarly every hardcore radical left winger is convinced National leaders aren’t happy unless they’ve daily thrown some destitute family in the scrap heap in the name of balancing the books, and selling the country out to big finance to advance the vast right wing conspiracy reactionary agenda. And you don’t have to go grazing in other websites to find ‘em.

Morning, Blazer. Where’s Duker this fine morning? 😬

Wouldnt be the first time a mediocre talent inherits a world class team and wins the first one. Then sets about working his own magic and barely makes it to the quarters

Haden never worked for Rothmans. That was Don Clarke, Arthur Lydiard and Peter Snell.

For a guy who professes socialist ideals that supposedly values people, you seem to have a lot of…issues (I’m being kind) when they don’t conform to your ideological or ethical expectations. You must live a perfect life.

Any idea if others who know you will be as…charitable when they write your obit?

Haden worked for Rothmans parent company.
In his hospo tent at Eden Park every table had complimentary tobacco packs….the catering was excellent…too.

Wouldn’t be the first time that someone who’s achieved pretty good success in a particular realm has been rubbished by people who have little appreciation of that particular world.

Many New Zealanders arrogantly think New Zealand should beat very other team every time. Top class professionals with all the resources in the world competing in a sports with myriad impacting factors, many uncontrollable and one team should win all the time?

Agreed duperez I was a little harsh. Happy to defer to your great appreciation of that particular world

I just dont think his achievements are any more worthy of a gong than that other much maligned one term wonder … J Hart

Rugby is a minor sport in the world.
Churning out knighthoods for sportsmen is hardly more acceptable than handing them out to politicians who get them for …no particular reason,.

I hear the chants from some ‘fans’ that we should win because we have the ‘best payers.’ Funnily enough when Europeans experts choose their world best XV for the year they seldom have a preponderance on NZ players . (As in the Covid lockdown when journalists had no sports to cover so went into reminiscence mode, team by team, position by position.)

The gong business? Someone working 40+ years in the background making a real difference to people doesn’t equal someone doing something worthy in the spotlight. Funny how the same altruism expected of the bottom rungers to be happy with merely contributing isn’t expected of the famous. The well off and famous need a gong as well.

Hart’s gong is a little down the chain from Hansen’s knighthood. I think dismissing him as ‘one term wonder’ is harsh too given his record across all levels of coaching and the impact his coaching and teams had on the evolution of the game from the1980s on.

In the aftermath of the Christchurch mosque shooting I was too preoccupied going over the clip of the event as posted by Tarrant to actually find time to look at his manifesto. I disagree with folk who say we don’t need to know the ramblings of a mad man. . There’s away something to learn, something like this:

”The perpetrator of the Christchurch mosque shootings produced a manifesto in which he wrote that Owens had “influenced him above all”. According to journalist Robert Evans, it was “possible, even likely” that the shooter was a fan of Owens, considering her rhetoric against Muslim immigrants, but in context the terrorist’s references to her may have been an example of “shitposting” intended to provoke political conflict.

Hours after the shootings, Owens posted a tweet in reaction to allegations that she inspired the mass murder, saying that she never created any content espousing her views on the 2nd Amendment (to the United States Constitution) or Islam. However, her tweet was criticized as “glib” when it was reported that she actually had posted tweets about the 2nd Amendment and Islam. She later made formal statements rejecting any connection to the shooter.

Candice Owens has had similar experiences to me – we are both ex socialists. And we have come to realise the threat Islam poses for the West. However, like me, from what I have read, I wouldn’t call her views extreme. They just centre around curtailing Muslim immigration and controlling the influence Islam has in the West.

I’m wonder how Covid has reshaped the Muslim world, if at all.

We have been over this before..it’s simple mathematics. Islam is breeding way faster than the West. We are too busy navel gazing and going on protest marches to worry about population
        trends.`

Japan, a very Westernized country, shows our likely fate. Imagine if these dying villages had a Muslim population? As native Japaneses died off, Muslims take over and start to change the culture.

        • They don’t have a Muslim population, so it’s a pointless question.

These are rural towns meeting the fate of rural towns worldwide.

How have Muslims changed NZ’s culture ?

Let me try to get this through to you one more time. – I don’t hate Muslims. I just don’t want them in the country because they are a time bomb waiting for the righht person to light their fuse. Everyday, somewhere in the world, a terroist act or murder is carried out by Muslims.

What idiot would not look at their track record regarding violence? Why, people like you and our government.

”No Muslim in my life has ever bothered me,just saying.”

That’s because you are invisible to them..you don’t count. Just saying.

          • I thought that the videos made by Tarrant were removed from wherever he posted them and were illegal to download.

Why anyone would want to see him doing these murders and justifying them is beyond me, anyway.

      Clarification:

”In the aftermath of the Christchurch mosque shooting I was too preoccupied going over the clip of the event as posted by Tarrant to actually find time to look at his manifesto”

I was looking for a number of clues as to motive, training, intent among other things.

The guy in my opinion didn’t have a clue what he was doing ( apart from a desire to kill Muslims).
