"All of a sudden a lot of the places they were using to hold up, they are having a big surge … New Zealand, you see what's going on in New Zealand" — New Zealand had nine (9!) new Covid cases today. The US had more than 42,000.

/ 18th August 2020Hard to believe but the presidential race is still very, very close.
If Biden can’t win,the Dems need to reinvent themselves big time.
Conspiratoor
/ 18th August 2020Agreed, and yet they can’t see it
But not so hard to believe when you switch the TDS off and take a dispassionate look at who is addressing the issues that resonate with voters

/ 18th August 2020Ben Shapiro…pleeese..!
Fast talking,ranting,right wing nutjob.
Conspiratoor
/ 18th August 2020He certainly talks fast but here he’s not the one doing the talking. That is why I selected it for your viewing pleasure, impartial critique …and possible enlightenment
Blazer
/ 18th August 2020Boring,unenlightening and hard to watch for 7 minutes.
Try this…

/ 18th August 2020A comedian with a serious message. The only difference here is he knows what his day job is
Enjoyed it though, cheers

/ 18th August 2020The daily Trump hit piece somehow overlooks the peace treaty brokered between Israel and UAE and his continuing efforts to limit Chinese expansion. Some throwaway comment is always more significant until suddenly, surprisingly he is reelected.

/ 18th August 2020Agreed.I find this boring. At least please give some balance.
duperez
/ 18th August 2020We are definitely a good example to hold up as a bad way the virus works and the terrible way it’s been handled though aren’t we? After all we have 9 new cases and 22 deaths
The three US states closest in population to New Zealand respectively have 592, 516 and 1208 new cases. Deaths there? 2269,1925 and 4507.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 18th August 2020NZ deaths March-August ~25,000. Would we have noticed the difference as most virus deaths are the sick elderly?
duperez
/ 18th August 2020I accept that there are so many deaths and illnesses and numbers and explanations and politics that all numbers to do with the coronavirus should be ignored. Things only got complicated when maths and stats intervened. The totality of what was said could be based on just theories and feelings.
Making judgements like above and saying ‘it seems likely that there are a lot more cases of covid-19 arising in the USA and significantly more deaths’ would be rubbished as a manufactured story. And some politicians in some parts of the world would say that their country is immeasurably (!) better off than other places because they acted so effectively.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 18th August 2020Lives disrupted vs lives lost. Where does the balance lie?
Duker
/ 18th August 2020They have noticed the reduction in expected deaths in normal years…around 550 or so.
Australia is finding the deaths from flu/pneumonia is only 10% of normal even though flu testing is up.
And more people in NSW have died from Covid than from Flu
Its a win win from the covid restrictions. But those with covid are sicker than those with flu of course plus many longer lasting symptoms…some have it for months.
Alan Wilkinson
/ 18th August 2020A win for health vs a loss for freedom and economy. Not a win-win at all.
And may not be a win even for health when impact on other aspects takes effect.
Corky
/ 18th August 2020Great clip ruined by showing Obama and other Dems. Watched young Dems on the news last night. They are RELUCTANTLY voting for Biden because he is not Trump. Sad.
Trump deserves to get back in. At least he doesn’t sleep on the job.
alloytoo
/ 18th August 2020He also said, “it’s terrible, it’s terrible, we don’t want that.”
Out of curiosity why do people people persist in quoting “…” I’ve never heard anyone say “…”
Whole sentences disappear into “…”, Young earth creationists like to do that.
