All Blacks versus Georgia

The result of the All Blacks versus Georgia world cup game this morning is expected to be a foregone conclusion, and it should be.But it will be interesting to watch. It’s the first test ever between the New Zealand and Georgia.

Georgia is resting some of their top players to save them for their game against Namibia, which they are targeting as winnable and would put them in third place on the Pool C table – not enough to go through to the quarter finals but it would automatically qualify them for the next World Cup.

This is still an important game for the All Blacks in their build up. They should win easily but they need to do it with conviction. Having a relatively easy pool has advantages and disadvantages – the All Blacks have to do their best to make good use of it.

It will be of interest to see how Waisake Naholo plays in only his second game for the All Blacks, having received a bone fracture injury in his first and he hasn’t played since then.

The All Blacks are fielding close to their top team. They should win but they need to do it well.

It will be played at nearly sold out Milleniumm Stadium in Cardiff, starting in about ten minutes so I need to get organised to watch it.

Georgia are currently ranked 13th. They beat Tonga in their first game in this world cup and were then beaten by Argentina.
